Cupcakes Galore

As we’ve decided to give out cupcakes as favours for our dinner reception in Kch (the restaurant, Banquet does not give favours for their wedding packages), and so the search for the perfect baker/vendor begins. Thanks to the helpful people from the bridal forum, I came to know of Lovey Dovey Cupcakes, a home-based business that sells cupcakes in Kuching. Ohh, theymake really lovely cupcakes too….so pretty and sounds delicious too!

So I made an enquiry with them about supplying em’ cuppies for the wedding next year and asked them to give me the best deal possible. Well, there wasn’t much that they can do to the price of the cupcakes, since it’s one of the lowest priced in Kch and so much more affordable compared to KL, but after offering a slight reduction on the cupcakes’ price, they also agreed to lend us their cupcake stand for FREE (usually they rent it out for RM50 a day) so that we don’t have to top up extra for packaging. So yeah, it sounds good, mom agrees to it…and evereyone’s happy. Also told them briefly how i want those cupcakes to be like…hmmm think I’m gonna make ribbons and cutesy flowers to tie with the pink and lilac theme. Oh, I opted for fondant cupcakes as opposed to buttercream…some there might be ppl who don’t fancy cream (like me! I swipe off the cream from cakes, everytime! loll).

Plus, to have a ‘taste test’, I’ve ordered 24 pieces of mini cupcakes for christmas, to test the flavours and to confirm that they really taste as good as they look hahah. So yeah, just told them the flavours i wanted and left it up to them to make the cupcakes look as christmassy as possible (e.g. candy canes, snowflakes, bells, santa etc).

Ooohh…can’t wait!
